2024 Singapore Art Exhibition: Cai Zhisong
Exhibition Overview:

We at Linda Gallery are proud to present our forthcoming solo exhibition by Cai Zhisong. Throughout his long and illustrious career, he has captured the fascination of academics, art market forces and general audiences worldwide. His immense technical skill led him to become the first Chinese Artist to win the Taylor prize at the Paris Autumn Salon a prestigious award established in 1903 and won by Eupose's greatest painters like Renoir, Matisse and Cezanne to name just a few. The contemplation his works elicit garnered him a seat as China’s representative at the Venice Biennale where he engaged with the expansive history of Chinese visual art with a single installation piece. The success and widespread appeal of his practice come from the tension Cai Zhisong is able to hold within the stunning objects he creates. This exhibition offers a rare view into a new chapter of his practice as he depicts the natural world.
