JIA Wei (KK) started to create ‘Ruhua’ in 2018. His creation is actually a process of seeking the liberation of the “heart” and the self-healing of “beauty”.
The underlying logic of JIA Wei (KK)’s creation lies in the discussion on the artistic concept of selflife, immortal life and sub-life. It’s believed that in the near future, human beings can obtain immortal life through technology and art, and the advanced state of immortal life is sub-life. Through art, a world view and an outlook on life of immortality and sub-life are imagined: “Ru” refers to immortallife, and “Hua” means the sub-life out of the spirit of “seeing a world in a flower”. In Ruhua’s worldthat transcends time and space, there’s an immortal self that can see a world in a flower. “She” no longer has the appearance in the real world. Instead, “she” unifies the five senses, facing and perceiving a colorful and complex world with her eyes.
